WX3MAS was the first Special Call in the country issued by the FCC for Special Event Stations. WX3MAS is now permanently assigned to the Christmas Cities Amateur Radio club and is active each year one to two weeks before Christmas.

• Nazareth – is home to Mario Andretti and Martin Guitar; founded by Moravian immigrants from Germany in 1740
• Bethlehem – “Christmas City USA” and home to Musikfest and the National Museum of Industrial History; founded by the Moravians on Christmas Eve 1741
