To help ensure ensure that we have coverage and support for novice operators, we encourage member to sign up to Operate/Log using the operating signup sheet. We enjoy supporting operations for new licensees and those without their own stations.
Feel free to bring snacks, food, etc. to be shared. We ask that you bring enough for six people and sign up by clicking the food signup sheet.
We believe that ham radio operators should practice portable and fixed emergency communications in winter environments because freezing temperatures, snow, ice, and other hazards present unique operational concerns.
WFD is intended to help increase your level of preparedness for disasters and improve your operational skills in subpar conditions. We are sure you will find WFD to be a challenging yet exciting and rewarding event!
This is a great time for new HAMs to come and operate on HF (Control Operators will be present). This is a no-pressure fun way to get on HF; we will show you how!
If you have any questions, feel free to contact Wayne Westfield, N3FQ (contact information in Members>Club Directory.
