If you’d like to include a picture in a Forum post, you have two options. First, you can save the picture file (e.g., a jpg) somewhere online, and point to its URL by clicking on the Insert/Edit Image button in the Post or Reply To editing menu (it’s the rightmost icon; you can see it by scrolling down this page temporarily). The advantage of this method is that the file can be very large.
Alternatively, save the picture on your device as a file, smaller than 512 KB (e.g., a jpg). Note its location in your file structure. Then, click the “Choose File” button below the Post or Reply To editor window (again, scroll down temporarily to see this). Navigate to your file on your device, and select Open. Before leaving your draft post, scroll to the bottom and click the Submit button.
Note that the second method stores a file on the DLARC server. When we clean up old files in the future, it may be deleted.
Here’s an example created using the second method. The image below is a low-res thumbnail that is automatically generated by our system. If you click on it, a clearer version will be displayed:
